We’re excited to announce that we’re about to land in South Africa’s growing property industry. This month, the system that began life on the south coast of England as InventoryBase and last year launched across North America and Canada, is extending its service to Cape Town, Johannesburg and major cities across South Africa.
After being approached by international entrepreneurs who recognised the quality and impact of InventoryBase in the PropTech market, we’ve continued to prepare for the global expansion of our software for other international markets. Like the recent US launch, the South African version will be known as ‘Property Inspect’ and is already live with a couple of local property companies.
Creator of InventoryBase and managing director Steve Rad said: “When we launched in North America we were super excited about the potential to scale InventoryBase globally, and now we’re taking another step further on executing that vision.”
InventoryBase was designed to make creating, recalling and comparing property inventory and inspection reports in the field as streamlined as possible. A complete end-to-end solution, the software allows the user to create detailed inspection reports including photos and remedial actions, in less time and with more accuracy. It also provides a booking system for landlords and estate agents, assigns appointments to team members and produces reports that are industry-backed and fully customizable to include logos and any specific legal information.
To make sure the South African version of the software is perfect for the audience, the team has worked closely with our South African partners – tweaking every aspect of the system so that it is as useful for the market as it is here in the UK.
David Hutchison, sales director from Cape Town said: “Having experienced the level of professionalism in the inspection industry internationally, and having tested a large number of alternative products from around the world, we are really excited to have found Inventory Base. Known locally as Property Inspect, the product will help us in achieving our vision of educating, professionalising and standardising the inspection industry in South Africa, offering real value to tenants and landlords alike. I can’t wait for it to take flight.”
